Because you need this assessment report in order to make express entry profile, the reason they need this report is to ensure that your degrees and certificates are valid and equivalent to Canada. You have to pay a fee for that and the processing time is 1 to 4 months. The documents have to be an official sealed envelope from the institute.

Now you have
to find your NOC (National occupational classification) which is actually a
system to classify your job or occupation and you can find it on their official
website www.cic.gc.ca. Where
you can find your job and code in the filter box provided on the Canadian official
website.

Now after
your ECA (Educational credential
assessment) report, NOC
code and language test results, now you can create your profile. In order to
create your profile you have to make an account on the Canadian official website
and it should be done from GCKEY available on the website.
Step: 5
After submitting your profile all you have to wait for an invitation to apply because during the processing time your profile will be ranked in the express entry pool by using a point-based system called CRS (comprehensive ranking system). This system used to assess score in your profile and ranked in the express entry pool. The higher the score the more chances for you to receive the invitation to apply.
Step: 6
If you are lucky to receive the invitation then fill the application online, scan all the documents and upload it in the profile that you created. Pay the Permanent residence and visa fee mentioned on the Canadian website. You will have 60 days to submit it. After submitting your profile you have to wait from 1 to 6 months. If you have no errors and all the documents are completed then you will get a response in a month.

If you receive a confirmation e-mail from IRCC (Immigration Refugees and citizenship Canada) that your visa is ready to be stamped on your passport so now you have to submit your passport with required photographs at the visa office within 30 days.
